The KEF Coda W are active bookshelf speakers designed for those who want a higher level of listening in a simple, clean and contemporary system. This model combines the KEF sound signature with modern source handling, thanks to Bluetooth 5.4, HDMI, USB-C, MM phono input and proprietary DSP. The result is a compact yet mature system, capable of making the most of music, TV, computer and turntable with a refined and very versatile approach.
KEF acoustic technology for a wide, precise soundstage
At the centre of the design is the renowned 12th-generation Uni-Q driver, with a 25 mm aluminium tweeter and a 130 mm LF/MF cone in magnesium/aluminium alloy. The concentric emission helps to achieve a more coherent, detailed soundstage that is well distributed in the room, while the Music Integrity Engine system optimises the behaviour of the drive units through dedicated algorithms. Each speaker also has separate 70 W LF + 30 W HF amplification in Class D, for energetic, controlled and precise performance up to 102 dB of maximum sound pressure.
Modern connectivity for music, TV and vinyl
KEF Coda W is conceived as a complete home audio hub. On the primary speaker there are HDMI, optical, USB Type-C, RCA Line, RCA Phono MM and Bluetooth inputs, as well as an RCA subwoofer output. Signal handling supports audio up to 24 bit / 192 kHz via USB-C, up to 24 bit / 96 kHz via optical, while the wireless connection includes aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless. With a frequency response of up to 41 Hz – 20 kHz (±3 dB) and a compact cabinet measuring 285 × 168 × 268 mm, Coda W is a very interesting solution for modern homes where quality, simplicity and a small footprint are needed.
