THX Ultra in-wall speaker with MAT™ technology
The KEF Ci3160RLM-THX is an architectural in-wall speaker designed for high-end home theatre systems, where precision, dynamics and visual integration are essential. Part of the R Series, it features the 12th-generation Uni-Q array with Metamaterial Absorption Technology MAT™, a technology developed to absorb 99% of the unwanted sound coming from the rear of the tweeter. The result is cleaner, more controlled and more natural reproduction, ideal for creating an immersive cinematic experience in dedicated rooms and large living spaces.
THX® Certified Ultra certification for cinematic sound
The KEF Ci3160RLM-THX is THX® Certified Ultra, designed to ensure high performance and sound close to the standards of cinema auditoriums. The configuration with two 160 mm hybrid aluminium woofers, a 160 mm Uni-Q driver and a 25 mm vented aluminium tweeter with MAT™ ensures great tonal coherence, deep bass and a wide sound image. The nominal coverage of 150° helps to widen the sweet spot, distributing the sound more evenly within the room.
High performance and discreet integration
Designed for high-level custom installations, the KEF Ci3160RLM-THX combines power, control and build quality. The precision-machined aluminium baffle, 5.5 mm thick, is designed to reduce vibration and provide a stable platform for the drivers. The frequency response extending up to 28 kHz, the range up to 45 kHz and the maximum SPL of 110 dB make it suited to dynamic soundtracks, home theatre effects and quality music listening. The paintable magnetic metal grille and the optional black cloth grille allow the speaker to blend discreetly into the room, leaving the sound alone in the leading role.
