The KEF Q7 Meta is a floorstanding speaker designed for those who want an elegant system that can nonetheless offer a complete, authoritative and refined sound. The 3-way bass reflex design combines the renowned 12th-generation Uni-Q array with MAT™ technology, developed to reduce unwanted disturbances and improve the cleanliness of the sound. The result is more natural reproduction, with a broad, coherent and believable soundstage with both music and home cinema content.
KEF technology for detail, coherence and controlled bass
At the heart of the system is a Uni-Q module with a 19 mm vented aluminium dome tweeter and a 100 mm aluminium midrange, flanked by two 165 mm woofers in hybrid aluminium. This configuration allows the Q7 Meta to separate high, mid and low frequencies more accurately, achieving a more legible, dynamic and stable performance in the room. KEF also describes the model as ideal for highly engaging listening, with deep bass and remarkable overall clarity.
Versatility of placement and performance for stereo or cinema systems
The KEF Q7 Meta is a slender but substantial tower, suited to modern hi-fi systems and high-level multichannel systems. It offers a frequency response of 46 Hz – 20 kHz (±3 dB), a sensitivity of 87 dB, a nominal impedance of 4 ohm and a recommended amplifier power of between 15 and 200 watts. The available finishes are Satin Black, Satin White and Walnut, while the box includes magnetic grilles, a plinth with rubber feet and port bungs.
