The KEF Q8 Meta is a speaker designed to heighten the involvement of a home theatre system with precise, airy and three-dimensional sound. Thanks to the 12th-generation Uni-Q driver, MAT™ technology, closed box loading and the option of use as a Dolby Atmos module or as a surround/on-wall speaker, this model offers great installation flexibility. It is the ideal solution for those who want an elegant, compact KEF system capable of recreating a more enveloping and believable soundstage.
Installation versatility and tonal precision
Designed to be placed on top of the main speakers or mounted on the wall, the Q8 Meta uses a 2-way architecture, a 25 mm vented aluminium dome with MAT tweeter, a 130 mm aluminium cone for the mid-bass range and a crossover at 2.7 kHz. The stated frequency response is 105 Hz – 20 kHz (±3 dB), with an overall range of 96 Hz – 20 kHz (-6 dB), a sensitivity of 86 dB and a maximum output level of 109 dB. These characteristics make it suitable for refined multichannel systems, where tonal coherence and even dispersion are essential.
Compact, well finished and a perfect fit in the Q series
The compact construction of the Q8 Meta allows it to fit easily into modern homes without sacrificing quality or aesthetic coherence. KEF offers it in Satin Black, Satin White and Walnut finishes, with a weight of 4.5 kg per speaker and dimensions of 176 x 180 x 259 mm. The nominal impedance is 4 Ω with a minimum of 3.2 Ω, while the recommended amplifier power ranges from 10 to 150 W, figures that make it easy to integrate into many Q series home cinema configurations.
