Compact high-performance extended-range subwoofer
Lyngdorf BW-3 is a compact yet extremely powerful active subwoofer, designed to deliver precision, speed and control at low frequencies, with a different philosophy from traditional subs. Thanks to its wide-range architecture, BW-3 can operate up to 800 Hz in bypass mode, going far beyond the typical limit of conventional subwoofers and becoming a true audiophile reinforcement woofer for quality stereo and home cinema systems.
Controlled power in an ultra-compact cabinet
At the heart of the BW-3 is a 400 W Class D amplifier, developed by Lyngdorf on the basis of over fifteen years of experience in the field. The energy is handled by an 8” long-throw driver with an aluminium cone, specifically designed to work in an internal volume of just 7.25 litres. The high-efficiency custom motor unit ensures fast transients, dry bass and total control, even at high listening levels.
Simple integration and maximum flexibility
BW-3 is designed to adapt to any modern room. The sealed cabinet in MDF, with its clean, minimal design, allows vertical or horizontal placement, even flush against the wall. In “Line In” mode it covers the 27–200 Hz range with full level, phase and crossover controls; when the bypass is activated, the response extends up to 800 Hz, allowing perfect integration with Lyngdorf electronics or advanced systems. Used on its own it is already very effective, but as a pair it delivers extraordinary results in terms of dynamics and coherence.
