MCR 60n DAB: a choice built around the system
MCR 60n DAB connects sources, listening priorities and space through a coherent configuration.
MCR 60n DAB is a Marantz compact CD, network and DAB+ system designed for a defined stereo role. Configuration, sources and loudspeakers should be chosen together: its value lies not in a feature count alone, but in the way it simplifies or specialises the system.
Key features
- integrated stereo amplification
- CD player
- HEOS and HDMI eARC
- DAB+ and FM radio
- MM phono stage
A complete system in little space
MCR 60n DAB combines amplifier, CD, HEOS, DAB+/FM radio and HDMI eARC. Only loudspeakers are required to complete a lounge, kitchen or office system. It is neater than a stack of components and more adaptable than a closed wireless speaker.
Everyday sources covered
Disc enters through the drawer, services and servers through the network, radio through the tuner and television over HDMI. An MM phono stage also accepts a turntable. This breadth is its purpose; an owner of separate sources may prefer a conventional integrated amplifier.
DAB+ is a distinct function
The DAB suffix denotes digital radio reception alongside FM. It requires suitable coverage and an aerial but does not depend on an internet connection. HEOS performs another task, bringing streaming, network libraries and multiroom control through the app.
Choosing loudspeakers
As a compact system it should meet efficient speakers and a suitable room, rather than being expected to match the reserve of MODEL 40n. A subwoofer output can extend bass. Its advantage is concentrating control and sources in one readily placed chassis.
The check before purchase
Before choosing MCR 60n DAB, confirm that integrated stereo amplification, cd player and heos and hdmi earc genuinely match the system priorities. That combination, alongside available inputs and shelf space, separates it from nearby alternatives: an unused feature cannot compensate for an unsuitable match.
