Mini satellite speaker, sold singly
The Cambridge Audio Minx Min 12 is a tiny speaker with a rich sound: not much bigger than a Rubik's Cube, it is designed to stay discreet without giving up performance. It is used in pairs for stereo, in larger numbers for home cinema or multiroom, or on a desk. The price is for a single speaker: two are needed for stereo listening.
It measures 78 x 78 x 85 mm (width, height, depth) and weighs 0.43 kg. It is designed to work with a Minx subwoofer, which completes the low end and adds body to the whole.
BMR technology with 180° dispersion
The Minx Min 12 uses fourth-generation Balanced Mode Radiator (BMR) technology, which spreads sound across 180°: the sweet spot is far wider than with conventional speakers and music stays even and detailed throughout the room.
Frequency response runs from 150 Hz to 20 kHz, with a sensitivity of 86 dB (2.83 V). Impedance is compatible with 8 ohm amplifiers and recommended power is from 25 to 200 W.
Construction and connections
The cabinet is lacquered ABS, reinforced with die-cast aluminium parts that stiffen it and keep distortion down. The binding posts accept banana plugs or bare wire.
The Minx Min 12 mounts on the fixed or adjustable wall brackets, the floor stands and the table stands of the Minx series, sold separately.
Finishes and accessories
It is available in high gloss black and high gloss white.
The box contains one speaker.
