Dan Clark Audio Noire X

Closed-back planar magnetic headphone with the AMTS system and ear cups faced in Gorilla Glass 3.

Noire X: the design

The AMTS (Acoustic Metamaterial Tuning System) uses a waveguide and Helmholtz resonators to open up the sound image. On the Noire X the drivers are redesigned and stiffer, to reduce distortion; the NiTinol headband folds, with a self-tensioning strap.

Dan Clark Audio is a Californian maker of planar magnetic and electrostatic headphones.
