Nordost Heimdall 2 Digital Cable 75 Ohm

Nordost Heimdall 2: 75 Ohm coaxial digital cable

Heimdall 2 Digital is an S/PDIF cable from the Norse 2 series, optimised for the transfer of digital data. In a digital link, accurate impedance matching matters in the cable as much as in the connectors: a poor match affects how accurately data passes from one device to the next.

The solid-core conductor, in OFC copper plated in silver, is suspended in the Dual Mono-Filament construction proprietary to Nordost. The BNC connectors, with RCA adapter, complete a signal path at a true 75 Ohm, with the tight tolerances that clock synchronisation requires. The outcome is a very fast, low-loss cable, suited to high-resolution digital sources.
