Nordost Red Dawn 3 Interconnect Cable

Nordost Red Dawn 3: analog interconnect cable

Red Dawn 3 is the analog interconnect at the top of the Leif 3 series. The design includes no filter of any kind: the cable is meant as a neutral link that carries the signal from one component to the next with no distortion and no alteration.

The six solid-core 24 AWG conductors, made of OFC copper plated in silver, are laid out as three twisted pairs to cut interference. Every pair has a shield of its own and the bundle is held inside a second, braided shield with 97% coverage. The connectors are gold-plated Neutrik, either XLR or Profi RCA.
