Nordost Red Dawn 3 Speaker Cable

Nordost Red Dawn 3: the speaker cable at the top of the Leif series

Red Dawn 3 is the most generously built speaker cable in the Leif series. The flat shape, common to the whole Nordost production, is not an aesthetic choice: by laying the conductors on a single plane the manufacturer lowers capacitance, interaction between the wires and skin effect, for cleaner and more accurate signal transfer.

The cable is made of 22 solid-core OFC conductors plated in silver, of 24 AWG, insulated in FEP through an extrusion process that improves their dielectric properties, and finished with a dedicated termination method. It links the amplifier to the speakers and, according to Nordost, increases drive and dynamic realism.
