Nordost Valhalla 2 Power Cord

Nordost Valhalla 2: Reference power cord with HOLO:PLUG

Valhalla 2 is the power cord of the Reference line from Nordost. It is made of seven solid-core 16 AWG conductors in silver-plated OFC copper, each held within a matrix of Dual Mono-Filament. Solid, separate conductors avoid the hot spots, carbonisation and interaction between strands that can arise in stranded cables.

Propagation velocity reaches 91% of light speed, whereas conventional mains cables stay below 50%. The extruded FEP insulation has very low losses and high thermal efficiency, so it sheds heat quickly; together with low cable resistance it keeps power losses to a minimum.

Technical features

• Conductors: seven, 16 AWG each
• Material: solid-core OFC copper, 99.999999% pure, plated in silver
