Nordost Valhalla 2 USB 2.0 Cable

Nordost Valhalla 2 USB: a USB 2.0 lead with flat twin-axial geometry

With the Valhalla 2 USB, Nordost adopts a twin-axial, flat geometry for the first time. The two signal wires run in parallel instead of being twisted, which shortens the signal path and raises transfer speed. The same layout separates the power (positive) leg from the ground (negative) leg, isolating them from the signal and from one another; each leg and each signal conductor has its own braided silver shield, tied to the metal backshell of the connector to remove EMI and RFI.

The four conductors are 19 AWG, solid-core in silver-plated copper, each suspended in Dual Mono-Filament, which adds mechanical damping without taking flexibility away from the cable. The USB connector is a low-mass, fully shielded HOLO:PLUG, built by Nordost so that no signal is lost between cable and connector.
