R5i-LR: the Reference main speaker for a balanced media room
The R5i-LR combines twin woofers and the DPC Array in a format suited to domestic walls without the structural scale demanded by the R7i-LR.
Installed vertically beside a television or behind a screen, it serves left and right channels in medium multichannel systems. With a subwoofer it also becomes an invisible stereo solution where clearing floor space is a priority.

The most versatile Reference front choice
Twin 165 mm woofers balance height, capacity and installation ease. The R5i-LR supports substantial domestic listening without occupying the metre-plus body of the R7i-LR. Recommended power up to 250 W places it in serious rather than extreme systems, with one or two subwoofers handling the deepest range.
Silk for voice and long listening
The DPC Array uses three 26 mm silk domes for control and consistency, while HPF woofers complete the Reference identity. The aim is fluid reproduction of voice and instruments through long sessions. The S5i-LR moves up to Beryllium and Textreme TPCD; the R5i-LR instead prioritises performance for investment.
Wall, screen and acoustic height
The vertical axis should follow ear and screen-centre height rather than only the available stud bay. Behind an acoustically transparent screen it can form a uniform LCR with the R5i-C. In a television media room, a painted grille and shallow depth create a clean front without visible towers.
A note on the back box
The R Series uses the aluminium rear volume and quick dogs described for the R7i-LR, with a white magnetic grille. The official R5i-LR page, however, contains malformed dimensional rows: consult the current technical drawing before cutting. The data should not be normalised by inventing an apparently precise measurement.
