Perlisten S7t Black Edition: Signature taken further
Extreme evolution of S7t with CNC-machined aluminium DPC, revised woofers, reinforced cabinet, selected crossover parts and dedicated isolation.
S7t Black Edition is not simply a black S7t. It starts from the Signature platform and revises thermal management, excursion, damping and consistency between the two speakers. The result is an approximately 112 kg tower with structural aluminium, dedicated isolation and individual verification at Perlisten's US R&D headquarters.

Not a black S7t, but a re-engineered loudspeaker
Black Edition retains Beryllium, Textreme TPCD and the DPC Array, but changes thermal management, woofers, cabinet, crossover and pair matching. It is therefore not a cosmetic update to standard S7t: the engineering aims to reduce compression, resonance and unit-to-unit tolerance when the loudspeaker is driven hard.
Aluminium DPC: mechanical and thermal control
The DPC Array waveguide is machined from a 40 mm aluminium billet to 0.1 mm tolerance, then treated and anodised. The aluminium also works as a common heatsink for all three domes, coupling to each transducer's existing heatsink. More uniform temperatures help reduce thermal compression and dynamic differences between the units.
Woofers with more excursion and lower inductance
The woofers retain Textreme TPCD diaphragms but use revised voice coils and magnetic circuits. Perlisten states 20% greater linear excursion and lower inductance, with shorting rings and dedicated heatsinks. The aim is greater low-frequency capability without sacrificing the transient speed of the S7t platform.
Aluminium cabinet and increased internal volume
Aluminium side panels over the HDF structure increase mass, stiffness and damping. Their geometry also provides about 8% more internal volume without enlarging the floor footprint, allowing the woofers to exploit their greater excursion. The stated total weight is approximately 112 kg per loudspeaker.
Selected crossover parts and matched pairs
The crossover is redesigned for the revised cabinet and woofers. Components are hand-sorted to 1% tolerance and each pair is matched within 0.5 dB at Perlisten's Madison headquarters. Individual speakers are also measured with a Klippel system, and customers can receive spinorama data for their own pair.
Isolation and an 18 kg steel base
The CNC-machined steel base is 20 mm thick and weighs 18 kg. Proprietary feet are engineered for lateral stability and isolation from floor-borne vibration, helping preserve alignment with the listening position while attenuating mechanical reflections from the supporting surface.
Engineered in the USA with individual verification
S7t Black Edition is designed and finalised at Perlisten's US headquarters. Individual verification, from crossover matching to measurements of each pair, separates it from standard S7t. It remains a Signature model, but pushes the DPC and TPCD architecture towards lower compression, greater dynamics and tighter channel matching.
