Rega Planar 1 Eco Green Grade is the version of Planar 1 with a gloss-finish plinth: a turntable designed for immediate use and solid performance, with RB110 tonearm, factory-fitted Carbon cartridge, 24 V synchronous motor and Advanced EBLT drive belt.
Planar 1 is designed to be simple to install and use, while employing engineering focused on reducing vibration and maintaining rotational stability. The hand-assembled RB110 tonearm uses Rega ultra-low-friction bearings and a preset bias system, so the turntable can be set up quickly without complex adjustments. The low-noise 24 V synchronous motor works with the Advanced EBLT drive belt to maintain smooth and accurate rotation.

RB110 tonearm and plug-and-play set-up
The RB110 tonearm was developed to make installation particularly simple. It incorporates an ultra-low-friction bearing assembly, a new bias arrangement and an integrated arm clip. Automatic bias removes the need for an initial manual adjustment, while the redesigned headshell improves rigidity, practicality and cartridge positioning. The Rega Carbon cartridge is already fitted, allowing the turntable to be used without preliminary cartridge installation.
Motor, platter and rotational stability
The 24 V AC synchronous motor uses a dedicated control board and aluminium pulley, with the aim of reducing noise and vibration while maintaining stable speed. The Advanced EBLT drive belt is fitted as standard and contributes to drive accuracy. The 23 mm phenolic resin platter uses greater mass to increase the flywheel effect, while the brass main bearing and newly designed feet help limit the transfer of unwanted energy to the record.
Plinth and isolation
The high-rigidity plinth comes in two gloss finishes, black and white, in place of the matt finishes of Planar 1, and incorporates the power switch on the underside to keep the top profile clean. The feet are designed to improve turntable stability and reduce the transfer of vibration from the supporting furniture to the chassis. The motor compartment also incorporates a dedicated cooling solution, keeping the overall construction compact without adding unnecessary elements.
