Reserve R350: a slim, versatile front speaker
The single low-profile speaker can serve as a left, centre or right channel.
The single Polk Audio Reserve R350 speaker is designed for a centre channel where there is little height beneath the screen. Its cabinet is 141 mm high and 762 mm wide: it therefore needs a long shelf but less vertical space than the R300 or R400. A 1" Pinnacle Ring Radiator tweeter is joined by four 4" Turbine Cone woofers.
Its defining feature is L/C/R use: the same model can serve as the left, centre or right channel, including a matched three-speaker front stage. Mounting points also permit horizontal or vertical wall installation. The sealed cabinet has no rear port to accommodate.

Low profile, flexible placement
The R300 is shorter and uses two 5.25" woofers; the R400, with two 6.5" drivers and dual X-Ports, needs more depth. The R350 instead addresses restricted height and consistent front-channel speakers. Its stated overall response is 50 Hz-50 kHz, with -3 dB limits of 75 Hz-35 kHz.
It needs an amplifier or AV receiver and speaker cable, connected to its single five-way binding posts. Polk recommends 25-200 W of amplifier power and specifies 87 dB sensitivity. Check its 187.5 mm depth as well as the width of the chosen shelf or wall area.
Its long, shallow shape also permits three matching R350 speakers across a cinema front stage, provided the wall offers enough space beside the screen for the left and right channels.
