M6s Pre is a balanced pure Class A preamplifier with MM/MC phono, 24/96 USB and HT bypass.
M6s Pre separates source control from power. It suits anyone partnering a power amplifier such as M6s Prx, using XLR cables or changing amplification without replacing inputs and volume control. Its balanced circuit runs in pure Class A; two XLR and five RCA inputs accept analogue sources, the phono stage handles MM and MC, and USB-B connects a computer. Low output impedance drives power amplifiers through long cables.

Why separate preamplifier and power amplifier
An integrated amplifier fixes interface and power together. M6s Pre allows the power stage to suit the speakers: M6s Prx for 230 W, an M8 model for more current or active amplification later. When loudspeakers or room change, the control centre can remain. The cost is another chassis and more cabling, justified only by a system expected to evolve.
Class A for the signal, not the loudspeakers
Pure Class A describes the preamplifier stage handling low-level signals; it does not mean M6s Pre powers loudspeakers. Its job is selection, volume and delivery of a robust, quiet signal to the power amplifier. The balanced path keeps positive and negative phases separate between XLR input and output.
Vinyl, computer and cinema
The MM/MC phono stage integrates a turntable without another box, while asynchronous USB-B accepts computer audio up to 24/96. Higher formats can use an external DAC into a line input. HT bypass gives an AV processor front-channel volume control while preserving an independent stereo chain for music.
