Streamer and preamplifier in one chassis for New Classic 200
Naim NSC 222 combines high-resolution streaming, volume control, MM phono and headphone amplification, with NAP 250 as its natural power partner.
The single Naim NSC 222 reduces New Classic to two principal electronics: source and preamplifier share one chassis, while NAP 250 drives the loudspeakers. Compared with NSS 333 plus NAC 332 it gives up some of the 300 Series modularity, but keeps streaming, analogue inputs, phono and headphones in a more compact system.

The 200 system: NSC 222 plus NAP 250
XLR connection carries the signal directly to NAP 250, the 100 W-per-channel stereo power amplifier. Optical System Automation can synchronise the electronics, so a two-box arrangement still behaves as one coordinated system without requiring the separate NAC 332 preamplifier.
Vinyl built in, with room to expand
An internal phono stage is already available for MM cartridges. Owners of MC cartridges, or anyone wanting a more adjustable external phono section, can add NVC TT and power it from the compatible system connection or partner it with its dedicated NPX TT supply.
NPX 300 without changing the architecture
NSC 222 can be powered by NPX 300, which bypasses the internal supply and separates power delivery from streaming and preamplification duties. The rest of the system remains unchanged: NAP 250 continues as the natural stereo power amplifier for the 200 Series. The front display and Zigbee remote also keep essential functions accessible without requiring a phone or tablet for every change. Its integrated MM stage and headphone amplifier are what most clearly distinguish it from the source-only NSS 333. The result is a genuinely compact two-box route into New Classic.
