The HDMI 2.1 board for upgrading 4K Anthem MRX x40 and AVM70 units
Anthem 8K Kit Upgrade is the HDMI 2.1 board for 4K versions of MRX540, MRX740, MRX1140 and AVM70.
The upgrade replaces the HDMI platform in units originally supplied with HDMI 2.0b and enables the features of the 8K generation, including 8K signals and 4K/120 Hz. Anthem requires receiver or processor firmware to be updated before installation; the procedure involves internal components that are sensitive to electrostatic discharge.

Hardware upgrade
The kit physically replaces the HDMI board and is not simply a software update. Anthem publishes a dedicated procedure for MRX x40 and AVM70 units; AVM90 is not part of the programme because it was introduced with HDMI 2.1 from the outset.
