Screenline Wave Tensioned EVO 16:9: the motorised screen made to stay on show, with a tensioned fabric
Wave is the motorised projection screen Screenline designed to be seen: its case has a shaped profile that allows mounting flush to the wall or in a corner, and its clean lines keep it discreet in a home cinema room as much as in a meeting room. The EVO version uses the EVO motor: quiet (43 dB measured), with a counterweight that stops by itself on closing and a case that closes completely.
This is the tensioned version: the tensioning system runs along both sides of the fabric. The fabric comes down from the front side of the case and stops about 11 cm away from the wall: it stays nicely flat and leaves room behind it for a TV, a painting or a panel. This page covers the 16:9 version with black borders.
Key features
- Tensioned fabric, 16:9 format with 5 cm black borders and a 50 cm drop
- Five sizes: base from 203 to 413 cm, diagonal from 92" to 187"
- Case in matt white or matt black
- EVO motor as standard, quiet (43 dB measured)
- Manual switch and wall or ceiling brackets supplied
- Six projection surfaces: five for front projection and one for rear projection
The surfaces
- White Ice (front projection, gain 1.1): white fire-retardant PVC fabric, 0.40 mm thick and finely embossed, giving an even picture across a 150° viewing angle. The back is white too: best to avoid windows and lights right behind the screen.
- Home Vision (front projection, gain 1.2): white composite PVC with a black back, not transparent. The black back makes the picture sharper and higher in contrast and stops light coming from behind. It must not be used as a blackout blind: sun and heat damage it.
- Microperforated (front projection, sound-transparent, gain 1.05): lets through the sound of speakers placed behind the screen, with 0.4 mm holes you cannot see while projecting. This is the fabric Screenline recommends in the tensioned version; it goes up to 406 x 228 cm.
- Grey High Contrast (front projection, gain 0.8): soft grey PVC that makes dark colours deeper; Screenline indicates it for projectors above 1,500 ANSI lumens. On Wave Tensioned EVO 16:9 it goes up to the 335 cm base.
- Radiance 0.6 (front projection in ambient light, gain 0.6): reflective PVC with mineral microparticles, for high-contrast projection even in a normally lit room. On Wave Tensioned EVO 16:9 it goes up to the 335 cm base.
- Coral (rear projection, gain 1.8): PVC for projecting from behind the screen, very bright and even, with a viewing angle above 90°. It suits fairly bright rooms with powerful projectors; direct light on the fabric cuts contrast sharply. On Wave Tensioned EVO 16:9 it goes up to the 335 cm base.
