Seven-channel AVENTAGE with dedicated construction and YPAO™ calibration
RX-A2A is a Yamaha AV receiver combining multichannel amplification, surround processing, HDMI management, room calibration and network features in a single platform.
The design brings video and audio source management together with a power section engineered to drive a complete home cinema system. RX-A2A integrates immersive formats, acoustic correction and streaming while retaining physical connections and multi-zone functions for more complex installations.

Cinema and immersive formats
The processing section supports Dolby Atmos®, DTS:X® and CINEMA DSP 3D, with Dolby Atmos Height Virtualizer. Yamaha complements format decoding with its own sound-field processing, designed to keep dialogue, music and effects accurately positioned in space. The result is coherent management of the front stage, surround channels and height information whenever the configuration provides for it.
YPAO™ calibration
YPAO™ R.S.C. includes multipoint measurement. The system measures the installation in the actual room and adjusts the parameters required to make the speakers behave more consistently. Calibration reduces the impact of different distances and positions, allowing the receiver to work from a more coherent baseline before surround processing is applied.
HDMI and video sources
Seven HDMI inputs and one output support 8K/60 Hz, 4K/120 Hz, VRR and ALLM. The HDMI section centralises consoles, players and the television, avoiding separate video and audio management. Supported functions depend on the connected source and display, but the receiver is designed for the high-resolution, high-frame-rate signals of the latest HDMI generation.
Streaming and MusicCast
MusicCast, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AirPlay 2 and Spotify Connect are all supported. MusicCast allows the receiver to integrate with other compatible Yamaha devices and distribute sources over the network. Wireless connections therefore sit alongside traditional inputs, allowing the unit to serve both home cinema and whole-home music listening.
Audio design and amplification
The AVENTAGE chassis combines A.R.T. technology with MusicCast Surround. The amplifier section is developed together with the power supply and internal layout to preserve dynamics and control during demanding passages. Yamaha also pays close attention to chassis rigidity and to reducing interference between digital, analogue and power circuits.
Zones and integration
Zone 2 enables independent listening in a second room. Distribution functions allow the receiver to be used beyond the main room, while the available connections simplify integration with amplifiers, subwoofers and external sources. The system can therefore grow without losing centralised control of its sources.
