Rectangular 4" wall speaker from the Visual Experience series
VX42 is a rectangular 4" speaker for wall installation, supplied with a white Micro Trim grille. Sold as a pair.
It is a model in the Visual Experience series by Sonance, designed to blend into any room. The manufacturer's sheet points to even coverage and reduced distortion, achieved through the design of woofer and tweeter.

- 0.75" (19 mm) tweeter: cloth dome with Ferrofluid cooling and a rear acoustic chamber
- 4.5" (114 mm) woofer whose cone is made of textured polypropylene, with a rubber surround
- Frequency response from 60 Hz to 40 kHz (+/- 3 dB)
- Handles between 5 and 70 watts RMS, with a sensitivity of 89 dB (2.83 V/1 m)
- Dispersion handled by the Sinusoidal Textured Waveguide
- Sonance CDX crossover, for warmth and detail whatever the volume
Installation
The cut-out measures 117 x 203 mm (width x height) and the mounting depth is 83 mm. Standard installation takes a single stage; a two-stage method is optional: cables are run and the space is reserved before construction is finished, and the job ends when the speaker module is snapped into place.
Finishes and grilles
The Micro Trim grille supplied has a satin Brilliant White finish. The Visual Experience series offers three grille styles: Micro Trim, Trimless and Trimless mounted on TRUFIG. The TRUFIG finish is optional and is meant to give a smooth surface that sits level.
