The stereo sound of Era 100, without voice control
Sonos Era 100 SL is a compact wireless speaker with two angled tweeters, a mid-woofer and three class D amplifiers: the same acoustic configuration as Era 100, without built-in voice control.
Era 100 SL is meant for those who want a network speaker to use with the app, a phone and touch controls, without a voice assistant. Drivers and amplification follow the same configuration as Era 100: two separate tweeters for the left and right channels and a mid-woofer for voices and bass. It works well as the first element of a system or as an addition to an existing one, and it is humidity resistant.

Acoustic architecture
The two side-facing tweeters create a stereo image from a single cabinet and provide clean high frequencies, while the mid-woofer reproduces the midrange and gives body to the bass. Each driver is powered by its own class D amplifier, optimised for this configuration. Bass and treble can be adjusted in the Sonos app.
Connections and sources
Music arrives from streaming services over Wi-Fi, from an Apple device with AirPlay 2 or over Bluetooth, by pressing the pairing button. The USB-C port accepts the Line-In Adapter, for connecting a turntable or another analogue source, and the Combo Adapter, which also adds an Ethernet port. The adapters are not included.
What changes compared with Era 100
The difference lies in voice control, which Era 100 SL does not include: it is operated from the app, from the touch controls and from Apple devices with AirPlay 2. Trueplay tuning, which adapts the equalisation to the acoustics of the room, also changes: here it requires a compatible iOS device. Everything else, from playback to the touch controls for volume, tracks and grouping, stays the same.
As a pair and in a home theatre
Two Era 100 SL speakers form a stereo pair in the same room, or become the rear channels of a surround system together with a Sonos soundbar. Placed in different rooms, they can be grouped with other Sonos products to play the same music throughout the home. It is possible to start with a single speaker and expand the system later.

Era 100 SL comes with a 2 metre power cable. The Line-In Adapter, the Combo Adapter, wall mounts and floor stands for Era 100 are sold separately.
