Spatial audio from a single speaker
Sonos Era 300 is a six-driver wireless speaker designed for spatial audio and Dolby Atmos content, with six class D amplifiers, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, AirPlay 2 and a line input via adapter.
Era 300 is built around a precise idea: sending sound in every useful direction, including upwards. Six drivers fire forwards, to the sides and towards the ceiling, and the design of the cabinet follows their arrangement. With music in Dolby Atmos the result is a soundstage that extends in width and height; with traditional stereo recordings it remains a wide front, able to fill the room from a single point.

Six drivers, four directions
A forward-firing tweeter anchors the centre image, two side tweeters widen the stereo front and a fourth tweeter, horn-loaded and aimed upwards, sends sound to the ceiling, from where it reflects down to the listener. Two woofers, one per side, complete the stereo separation and support the low frequencies. Each driver has its own class D amplifier, and the waveguides direct the output in a controlled way.
Connections and sources
Era 300 plays from streaming services over Wi-Fi, receives AirPlay 2 from Apple devices and pairs over Bluetooth with its dedicated button. The USB-C port becomes an analogue input for turntables and other sources with the Line-In Adapter, and a wired network port with the Combo Adapter. The adapters are separate accessories.
Trueplay and controls
Trueplay tuning analyses the acoustics of the room with the speaker's microphones and adapts the equalisation: it starts from the Sonos app, on iOS or Android. The microphones are also used for voice control and can be disconnected with the switch on the back. The touch controls on the speaker adjust volume, playback and grouping, while bass and treble are set in the app.
Rear channels for home theatre
Two Era 300 speakers paired with a compatible Sonos soundbar, such as Arc and Beam (Gen 2), become the surround channels of a Dolby Atmos system: the rear channels are joined by the side and height channels of each speaker. Two units in the same room can also be used as a pair for music.
Materials
The cabinet uses 40% post-consumer recycled plastic and is humidity resistant. Sonos has reduced power consumption both during playback and when idle, and the packaging is made from certified paper and is fully recyclable.
Included accessories
Era 300 comes with a 2 metre power cable. The Line-In Adapter, the Combo Adapter, wall mounts and floor stands are sold separately.
