Portable stereo, indoors and outdoors
Sonos Move 2 is a battery-powered portable speaker with two tweeters, a mid-woofer and three class D amplifiers: up to 24 hours of battery life, IP56 protection, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3 and a charging base included.
Move 2 is a portable speaker that works on the network at home, like the other products in the system, and switches to Bluetooth away from home. Compared with the first Move it has two tweeters instead of one, so it plays in stereo, and more than twice the battery life. The handle built into the cabinet makes it easy to carry from a room to the garden, and the construction is made to withstand rain, dust, sun and drops.

Acoustic architecture
The two tweeters spread voices and instruments between the left and right channels, while the mid-woofer works in a sealed enclosure and digital signal processing optimises it for deep, clean bass. Three class D amplifiers drive the drivers separately. Bass and treble can be adjusted in the app.
Battery and charging
On a full charge the lithium battery provides up to 24 hours of uninterrupted listening. Charging takes place by resting the speaker on its ring-shaped base; the 45 W USB-C power adapter detaches from the base, which makes it easier to store. The battery is replaceable, which extends the useful life of the speaker.
Outdoor resistance
The IP56 rating indicates protection against dust and high-pressure water jets: Move 2 withstands splashes, rain, dirt, humidity and direct exposure to the sun. The outer materials absorb shocks if the speaker is dropped.
Connections and Trueplay
Over Wi-Fi, Move 2 plays from streaming services and receives AirPlay 2; the Bluetooth button pairs it with phones and tablets. The USB-C port accepts the Line-In Adapter for an analogue source and the Combo Adapter for a wired network, both optional. Trueplay is automatic: the speaker's microphones analyse the surroundings and continuously adjust the sound. A switch on the back turns them off.
Stereo pair and groups without a network
Two Move 2 speakers in the same room can be paired in stereo. Without Wi-Fi, two or more Move 2 or Sonos Play speakers can be grouped over Bluetooth, for example when camping or in a holiday home.
Included accessories
Move 2 comes with the wireless charging base, with a 2 metre cable, and the 45 W USB-C power adapter. The Line-In Adapter, the Combo Adapter, the travel bag and the wall hook are sold separately.
