Sonos Optical Audio Adapter is the adapter that connects a Sonos soundbar or Sonos Amp to the optical audio output of the TV, using the HDMI cable of the product.
It is needed when the TV has no HDMI socket suited to audio and offers only the optical output. The adapter fits onto any standard HDMI cable: the cable goes to the Sonos product, the adapter to the optical socket of the TV. It is compatible with the Beam, Beam Ultra, Arc and Arc Ultra soundbars and with Sonos Amp.
