Three turntables, MM or MC, without rebuilding the system
M6x Vinyl is a discrete phono stage with two RCA and one XLR input, adjustable loading and gain for MM and MC cartridges.
M6x Vinyl is designed for collectors using several turntables, arms or cartridges who do not want to swap cables for every comparison. Its three inputs are individually configurable for MM or MC; resistance, capacitance and gain adapt the circuit to the pickup. Output is available on RCA and XLR. It does not digitise records: it amplifies the cartridge's tiny signal and applies equalisation before the line input.

Three inputs, three genuine configurations
One input can remain assigned to an everyday MM, another to a low-output MC and the third to a second arm. Front-panel selection avoids treating every cartridge as if level and loading were identical. The benefit is not merely convenience: consistent settings make comparisons repeatable and reduce incorrect connections.
Balanced connection beginning at the turntable
With a suitably wired arm, XLR keeps the two signal poles separate into the phono stage. This can improve noise rejection in the most vulnerable part of the chain. RCA and XLR outputs then allow the route compatible with the preamplifier to be selected, without assuming that a balanced connector is always necessary.
M6x compared with M3x Vinyl
M3x Vinyl covers one RCA configuration; M6x expands source count and adds a balanced path. It is therefore justified by multiple cartridges, XLR wiring or a pre/power system rather than price alone. Adjustment remains central: begin with the cartridge maker's recommended values and refine by listening.
