DB3D is the most compact of the three dual-driver DB subwoofers.
The single Bowers & Wilkins DB3D mounts two 200 mm Aerofoil cones on opposite sides. Their balanced movement reduces forces transmitted to the enclosure. Against ASW608, which has one cone of the same nominal diameter and physical controls, DB3D adds a digital preamplifier and app-based setup.

Controls and inputs
Dynamic EQ operates in the digital preamplifier. Bluetooth LE controls the app rather than streaming music. Two XLR and two RCA inputs take the signal, with two 12 V triggers and RS-232 for integration. Those connections are shared with the other DB models here, so choosing between DB3D and DB2D mainly concerns driver format and available space.
The smaller footprint
Dimensions are 360 × 320 × 300 mm and weight is 25 kg. DB2D takes 430 × 377 × 360 mm and weighs 36 kg. Even the smaller model needs clear space at its side-facing cones and room for wiring. Where furniture or a recess constrains placement, measure the actual footprint before choosing a position.
Its specified response is 10-350 Hz at -3 dB relative to 100 Hz, with an 8.5-500 Hz range at -6 dB. DB1D and DB2D list these figures too, but cone area and cabinet size still differ. DB3D suits a system needing digital adjustments and opposed drivers in the least bulky enclosure of the three. It retains two side-mounted cones despite the smaller box, and needs clear space alongside each driver. The 25 kg weight also calls for a stable supporting floor.
