The cylindrical subwoofer for small rooms
Sonos Sub Mini is a compact, cylindrical wireless subwoofer with two opposed 15 cm woofers in a sealed cabinet and two class D amplifiers: it reaches down to 25 Hz and connects over Wi-Fi.
Sub Mini is the Sonos subwoofer to pair with the Beam and Ray soundbars or with the Era 100, One and One SL speakers. It adds the lowest frequencies to films, series and music without taking up the space of a traditional subwoofer: about 30 centimetres tall, it sits next to a cabinet, under a desk or under a table. It connects wirelessly and needs only the power cable.

Opposed woofers in a sealed cabinet
The two woofers are mounted face to face: the forces of the membranes offset each other and the cabinet neither vibrates nor makes nearby objects rattle. The sealed volume keeps distortion down and digital processing further refines the bass: the response reaches down to 25 Hz, the same range as much bulkier subwoofers.
Which products it pairs with
For home theatre, Sub Mini pairs with the Beam and Ray soundbars; for music, with Era 100, One and One SL. At least one non-portable amplified Sonos product is required. With soundbars, the Wi-Fi link on the 5 GHz band keeps the audio in sync with the picture on the TV.
Setup and adjustments
Once power is connected, Sub Mini is added to the system from the Sonos app in a few guided steps, using the connect button. The volume follows that of the paired soundbar or speaker, and the equalisation balances automatically; the bass level can still be changed in the app. As an alternative to Wi-Fi, an Ethernet port is available.
Trueplay
With a compatible iPhone or iPad, Trueplay analyses the acoustics of the room and adapts the response of the subwoofer, so that the bass is not excessive, muffled or flat even when Sub Mini is placed close to a wall.
Included accessories
Sub Mini comes with a 2 metre power cable. No other cables are needed, since the connection to the system is wireless.
