Five 225-watt channels for the core of a multichannel home cinema
Anthem MCA525 GEN2 is a 5-channel power amplifier rated at 225 W x 5 into 8 ohms, 400 W x 5 into 4 ohms and 600 W x 5 into 2 ohms, with RCA/XLR inputs and Advanced Load Monitoring.
With five channels in one chassis, MCA525 GEN2 can drive the entire base layer of a 5.1 system or form one amplification block for front and surround speakers in larger installations. Symmetrical construction and two large shared power supplies are designed to provide dynamic reserve to any channel without sacrificing channel separation.

Five channels in one chassis
MCA525 GEN2 can directly power a complete 5.1 loudspeaker layout, excluding the active subwoofer, or become one of the power blocks in a 7-, 11- or 15-channel system. Housing five amplifiers in one chassis reduces component count while retaining a nominal 225 W for each channel.
Power for multichannel systems
All five channels are rated at 225 W each into 8 ohms, 400 W into 4 ohms and 600 W into 2 ohms. The ability to deliver current into low-impedance loads is especially useful when several loudspeakers are driven simultaneously during demanding film and concert passages.
Twin power supplies and symmetry
The construction uses two large toroidal power supplies shared across the five channels in a symmetrical architecture. Anthem employs low-flux transformers, high-current bipolar transistors, oversized heatsinks and eight output devices per channel to distribute load and improve reliability.
Advanced Load Monitoring
ALM™ monitors critical temperature, current and voltage parameters and protects both amplifier and loudspeakers without placing fuses in the signal path. If an abnormal condition occurs, unaffected channels can continue playing and full operation is restored automatically.
RCA, XLR and coordinated power-up
RCA and XLR inputs are provided for all five channels, allowing the amplifier to work with unbalanced or balanced processors. A 12V trigger and signal sensing simplify control in installations using several power amplifiers or racks where manual power-up of every component would be impractical.
A partner for 15.2 and 15.4 processors
MCA525 GEN2 is particularly suited to systems built around AVM70 or AVM90: one or more MCA amplifiers can be combined to reach the channel count required by Dolby Atmos and DTS:X layouts. The five-channel format makes it the most efficient module when many loudspeakers need amplification.
