Dual-mono architecture and up to 800 watts per channel into 2 ohms
Anthem STR Power Amplifier is a solid-state stereo power amplifier rated at 400 W x 2 into 8 ohms, 600 W x 2 into 4 ohms and 800 W x 2 into 2 ohms, with RCA and XLR inputs.
STR Power Amplifier is dedicated entirely to power amplification and uses a dual-mono construction with two separate toroidal transformers. The two channels have substantial reserve and accept both RCA and XLR signals, while the 7-inch front graphical display shows key operating information without adding preamplification or digital-conversion functions.

Power into 8, 4 and 2 ohms
The amplifier delivers 400 W per channel into 8 ohms, 600 W into 4 ohms and 800 W into 2 ohms with both channels driven. The increase in output as impedance falls shows a power supply designed to support demanding loads and high current requirements.
Dual-mono construction
The dual-mono structure assigns a dedicated power-supply section to each channel, with two separate large toroidal transformers. This arrangement reduces current sharing between left and right and keeps the two channels more independent during complex dynamic passages.
RCA and XLR inputs
RCA inputs allow connection to preamplifiers and processors with unbalanced outputs, while XLR supports a balanced connection with compatible components. The power amplifier can therefore be used in conventional stereo systems as well as fully balanced signal chains.
7-inch graphical display
The front panel incorporates a 7-inch multifunction graphical display, an unusual size for a power amplifier. The screen presents operating information and makes amplifier status easier to monitor without relying on minimal indicator lights.
Role in the stereo chain
STR Power Amplifier does not include a DAC, source selection or phono stage: its role is solely to amplify the signal received from a preamplifier. It can be paired with STR Preamplifier or other preamplifiers with RCA or XLR outputs, keeping source management separate.
Finishes and installation
The power amplifier is available in Black or Silver finishes, with the same dual-mono architecture in both versions. Its twin toroidal transformers and declared output into loads down to 2 ohms position it for stereo systems requiring substantial drive capability.
